Thank you Hillary Clinton

Thank you very much to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for NOT visiting the Philippines at this point, after the invitation extended by Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

We love you, Mrs. Clinton!

Slam bam, thank you but NoMaM!

Hey, GMA! Where's your former Georgetown University classmate (Bill Clinton) when you need him?

Check out the transcripts below. No one really cares about the presence of GMA in Washington. Department of State is just being civil and the reception was just protocol. But there was nothing Sec. Clinton needed to know about GMA.

"The Philippines: A Close and Important U.S. Ally"

Hillary Rodham Clinton
Secretary of State
Remarks With Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo Before Their Meeting
Treaty Room
Washington, DC
February 6, 2009

SECRETARY CLINTON: Good afternoon, and I am so delighted to welcome the president of the Philippines to the State Department. As you know, the Philippines is one of our closest and most important allies, not just in Asia, but on so many issues around the world. And we are very proud of the role and contributions that Filipino Americans have played in the United States over many years. So welcome, Madame President.

PRESIDENT MACAPAGAL-ARROYO: Thank you. Thank you, Madame Secretary. Thank you. I am very happy to be here to congratulate you on your appointment and your love-fest of a confirmation. (Laughter.)

As you said, the Filipino Americans have played a very important role here, but another important thing is they all love you, both the Filipino Americans and the Filipinos in the Philippines. So we’re so proud of you.

SECRETARY CLINTON: Thank you. Thank you all very much.

QUESTION: Madame Secretary, can you give us a reaction to the release of A.Q. Khan?

SECRETARY CLINTON: I am very much concerned, and we’ll have more to say about that.
(end of remarks)

Ten Reasons Why President Barack Obama Should Never Ever Meet with Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo

1. It’s a waste of time for a very busy man.
He’s got bigger and more important problems (global financial crisis, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.) than to condescend and hob-knob with a petty power grabber.

2. The meeting will not be beneficial for the US or the Philippines.
A one-on-one meeting between Obama and GMA, despite (or in spite of) the fact that she is President, will not be beneficial in any political, social, or economic way, sort, form or manner to both the United States and the Philippines. America is definitely better off welcoming nurses.

3. There’s nothing to talk about. Really. Nothing
Hi -- obviously she is not. Hello – Garci knows this. Goodbye – what GMA didn’t receive from Obama after a recent US Prayer meeting.

4. There is nothing for GMA to present to President Obama
Obama has the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for this purpose. Therefore the lack of intelligence would come from?

5. President Obama’s image will be tainted by a corrupt and misleading politician.
Both presidents were college professors. He’s got class. She doesn’t.

6. After being president for eight years, GMA has proven nothing.
Using critical, in-depth, academic analysis and evaluation, the plight of the Filipino people is NOT better than the time when her father, Diosdado Macapagal (God bless his soul), was president. That’s forty years of wasted opportunities.

7. She is a total embarrassment to American higher education.
Despite an economics background from famed Georgetown University in the USA, and close ties with former President Bill Clinton, she has not maximized on her knowledge and network to serve the benefit of the people who elected her into office.

8. Beware, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
If she does not get her way, she might plot an international incident that will gain the attention of the United States and other countries. She is that desperate for attention and will do whatever it takes to stay in power.

9. Her husband, Jose Miguel Arroyo, and their families have done nothing for the development and progress of the Philippines
The fact that his marriage with GMA was a combination of two powerful families, along with other members of both their families in government (Mikey Arroyo, Diosdado Macapagal Arroyo, Iggy Arroyo), nothing substantial has been achieved to help build a better country.

10. Don’t pity her, Mr. Obama. For the sake of the Filipino people.
During the GMA presidency, both the United Nations and the United States Congress put the Philippines in the human rights watch list for eight hundred (800) killings over five years (average of one killing every two days). And a recent World Bank report links her husband, Mike Arroyo, as part of a web of corruption in the construction of road projects. President Obama, should he find time to entertain himself, must listen to the “Hello Garci” tapes. This is a no-brainer for him.

Dear President Barrack H. Obama

TO: President Barack H. Obama
United States of America

Dear Mr. President,

We, the sovereign Filipino people, imploring the aid of Almighty God, in order to build a just and humane society and establish a Government that shall embody our ideals and aspirations, promote the common good, conserve and develop our patrimony, and secure to ourselves and our posterity the blessings of independence and democracy under the rule of law and a regime of truth, justice, freedom, love, equality, and peace do ordain and promulgate this humble and honorable request to the President of the United States of America, Barrack H. Obama, not to, under all and any circumstances short of the total annihilation of the Filipino people from the face of the Earth, and the preservation and protection of the national security of the United States of America and of the freedom loving peoples of the world, meet with incumbent Philippine president, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

We know this request seems extreme, Mr. President, but we just don't want her to hide behind you when we ask her to face up to her responsibilities.

Respectfully and sincerely yours,

Undersigned petitioners
